Connect Upkeepery to Claude
Connecting your account lets Claude work with your real maintenance data — so you can ask what's due, log work you've just done, and plan upkeep without opening the app.
What you need
- •A free Upkeepery account. Create one — Upkeepery is free.
- •At least one asset added, so there's something to talk about.
- •A Claude account on any plan that supports connectors.
Connect it
- 1In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose to add a connector.
- 2Enter the Upkeepery server URL:
https://upkeepery.com/api/mcp - 3You'll be sent to Upkeepery to sign in, if you aren't already.
- 4Upkeepery shows you a consent screen naming the app and listing the access it's asking for. Read it, then choose Approve access.
- 5You're connected. Try asking: “What maintenance is due this month?”
Things to try
What Claude can do
Every tool is labelled so Claude knows whether it only reads your data or changes it.
Reads only
list_assets | List your assets — homes, vehicles, boats — with type and value. |
get_asset | Full detail for one asset: its areas, items and active tasks. |
get_item | Full detail for one item: brand, model, serial, purchase, warranties and its maintenance. |
list_due_tasks | Maintenance that's overdue or coming up, across everything. |
get_task | One task in detail: recurrence, next due date, assignee, steps, history. |
list_supplies | Tracked supplies and quantities; optionally only those running low. |
list_warranties | Product and equipment warranties, optionally only those expiring. |
list_renewals | Insurance, loan and mortgage renewal dates. |
list_professionals | Your saved contractors and their contact details. |
spending_summary | Maintenance spending over the last 12 months. |
Creates and changes
create_asset | Add a home, vehicle or other asset. |
create_item | Add equipment or an appliance to an asset. |
create_task | Create a maintenance task, one-off or recurring. |
complete_task | Mark maintenance done; recurring work advances to its next date. |
reschedule_task | Move a task's next due date. |
log_past_maintenance | Record work already done, for history. |
update_asset | Change an asset's name, type, value or notes. |
update_item | Change an item's details. |
update_task | Change a task's name, cost, duration, recurrence or assignee. |
create_supply | Start tracking a supply, with an optional low-stock level. |
update_supply | Change a supply, or adjust its quantity up or down. |
Deletes
delete_task | Permanently deletes a maintenance task and its history. Marked as destructive, so Claude asks before using it. To record that work was done, complete_task is used instead. |
Permissions & privacy
Your password is never shared.
Connecting uses OAuth. Claude receives a token scoped to your account — never your password.
You approve the connection explicitly.
Being signed in isn't enough. Upkeepery shows a consent screen naming the app, and nothing is granted until you approve it.
Only your own data.
Claude sees exactly what you'd see: the assets you own or have been invited to, and nothing belonging to anyone else. Shared households keep their owner, manager and viewer roles.
You can disconnect at any time.
In Upkeepery, go to Settings → Connected AI assistants and choose Disconnect. Access is revoked immediately, and reconnecting requires your approval again.
How Upkeepery handles your data is covered in our privacy policy.
Troubleshooting
- Claude says it can't find any assets
- The account you approved has nothing in it yet. Sign in to Upkeepery, add an asset, then ask again.
- You're asked to approve again
- That happens if the connection was disconnected, or if you approved with a different Upkeepery account. Approving again is safe.
- The connection stopped working
- Remove the connector in Claude and add it again. If it still fails, check Settings → Connected AI assistants in Upkeepery to see whether it's still listed.
- A change Claude made looks wrong
- Everything Claude does is an ordinary change to your account, so you can open Upkeepery and edit or undo it exactly as if you'd made it yourself.
